About J-CCRC
- What is J-CCRC?
- J-CCRC stands for Japan Consortium of Clinical Research Core Hospital, and it consists of 14 medical institutions in Japan which are certified as clinical research core hospitals. (As of July 1, 2021)
The Clinical Research Core Hospital is a hospital that plays a central role in international standards of clinical research and investigator-initiated clinical trials in order to promote high-quality clinical research and trials required for the development of innovative pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and medical technologies, etc. originating in Japan. The certification system was launched on April 1, 2015 as a clinical research core hospital system based on the Medical Care Act.
Subsequently, in order to promote global clinical research in Japan, Osaka University Hospital and National Cancer Center Hospital have been assigned as the promoting base in the global clinical research development project conducted by Japan Agency for Medical Research and Development (AMED) and have been developing the system for implementing and supporting global clinical research.
J-CCRC was established with the purpose of strengthening collaboration between clinical research core hospitals and promoting efficient research and development. - Who are the members of J-CCRC?

- Can I join J-CCRC?
- Yes, it’s possible if you are a medical institution certified as a clinical research core hospital based on the Medical Care Act, and agree and conclude the memorandum on the membership of J-CCRC.

- What kind of support is J-CCRC offering?
- Based on the type of research proposed, J-CCRC supports, designs, and implements research planning based on regulatory differences between countries. Specific support details are as follows.
